Runlevel helps people use and keep the technology they already own. Most consumer tech media is built to sell you the next thing. We’re built for the opposite moment — when your phone is fine, your laptop is four years old, and you’d rather it kept working than be told to replace it.

Why you can trust us

We tell you when not to buy something. A site that does that is worth believing when it says you should. We date everything, we show our sources, and we keep a public corrections log. Our support tracker exists because “when does my device stop getting security updates?” is a real question nobody else answers clearly.
